These European Flat Oysters are also named for the area where they are grown in the northern Puget Sound, these are also the same species as the famous Belon oysters traditionally grown on the coast of France. These pond cultured oysters grow for about three years and develop a distinct round-flat shell along with a very sharp, or metallic, crisp flavor unique to the European flat oysters.
