Thorndyke Bay Oysters

THORNDYKE BAY OYSTERS - (Crassostrea gigas)

Available: September - July

Packed in 5 and 10 dz. units - ~3 " in length

This is probably one of the prettiest naturally grown oysters from Washington State.  It is grown on the rocky, exposed shores of Thorndyke Bay, which lies along the northern reaches of the western side of Hood Canal in Washington State.  It is a beach grown Pacific oyster which has the shell appearance and full meat of a perfect half shell oyster.  These characteristics are only outdone by the mild sea-fresh flavor you enjoy after tasting these  wonderful oysters.
